Boost????
FELLAS,
I AM CURRENTLY IN THE PROCESS OF JOINING THE FEW, THE PROUD, THE ELITE GROUP OF RX-7 OWNERS. I HAVE READ NUMEROUS THREADS ON BOOST, RELIABILITY MODS, POWER MODS, ETC. I READ AN ARTICLE ON "ENGINE WARM-UP" AND MY QUESTION IS...."HOW DO YOU DRIVE WITHOUT "BOOSTING"? I THOUGHT THAT WAS IMPOSSIBLE. ANY COMMENTS OR ANSWERS HELP A GREAT DEAL.

Please take caps off...sorry I just cann't stand that
Anyway, I drive without using boost a lot. You just don't give it that much gas and take off slow. Also at cruising speeds you really should not be into the boost. Get a nice boost gauge and if it is sitting on the vacuum side then you are not using boost.

Just shift at low RPMs.
If you have a boost gauge installed (and if you get an FD, you need one), just watch the boost gauge and shift before the car moves from vacuum into boost.

OKAY, OKAY,,, PRETTY SIMPLE....THANKS! I WAS ALSO WONDERING IF BY JET-HOT COATING "EVERYTHING", (INTAKES, DP, HFCAT, EXHAUST, MANIFOLD, EVEN THE IC PIPES) WILL THAT "SIGNIFICANTLY" LOWER THE TEMP LEVELS OF THE BEAST? I WAS ALSO GOING TO GO WITH "ALL" M2 PERFORMANCE UNDER THE HOOD, APEXI BGAUGE, BUT I WANTED THAT "DEEP" RUMBLE TONE FROM MY EXHAUST (NOT THE HAIR-DRYER ON CRACK TONE I HEAR FROM THESE JABRONIES ON THE STREET TODAY)...OBVIOUSLY NON-RX-7 DRIVERS!!! ANY SUGGESTIONS OR COMMENTS WELCOME!!!
