Bolt on OEM 43.5psi / 3Bar Fuel Pressure Regulator

Putting a non adjustable bolt on fuel pressure regulator onto the standard fuel rail would give about 9% extra fuel flow and be very cheap, reliable mod that was hassle free to do. Does anyone know of any other Mazda / Ford / Toyota / Denso fuel rail regulator that bolts on and is identical in form to the standard RX-7 one other than the relief pressure.

Your options are very limited due to the side feed injectors.

I am 99% sure something compatible and OEM exists. I have read posts about it on forums.

FEED aka Fujita Engineering sell a bolt on adjustable for a silly price.

Feed unit sounds like a Bosch adjustable, crazy money!

Haven't tried it on a rx7, mightn't be enough space(?), but used them elsewhere. The common dash 6 adaptors you buy, plus a Jenvey adaptor for a garden variety Bosch mini(??) style pressed metal fpr, might work....and they're cheap - at least here.

A secondary rail adapter, some fittings and an Aeromotive FPR all together is only $200ish, and you can keep the AFPR when you are ready to upgrade your fuel system.

You're going to go through a lot of effort and possibly work and money if you commit to it, all for a little more fuel pressure that won't give you much more fuel.

If you need more fuel, get larger injectors and tune them in. A set of 1300cc secondaries will drop right in and give all the fuel the twins need, combined with a good fuel pump.

That said, I think there's a Nismo fuel pressure regulator that is adjustable and LOOKS like it would bolt on. But, you won't be gaining much.

Adding fuel by raising fuel pressure is an '80s approach to tuning.

Q45 looks like it would be close to a bolt in, its 43psi, and cheaper than the Mazda part...

Any more info on this adjustable Bosch brand regulator?

I saw an adjustable Nissan side feed style FPR for sale a few weeks ago on an auction site but I determined from the pictures that the fuel hose came differently to the FEED part. I don't actually know what angle I want the hose to come out at, but I want as close to OEM if possible.

The stock FD regulators that I've measured are 3bar/43PSI.

The old style adjustable bosch doesn't seem to be listed anymore online. Could probably find the part # looking in a mate's printed catalogue though and a representative drawing - similar in appearance to that nismo one from memory. Locally close to $500, so I'm sure they were selling heaps!

There does appear to be the new style, over the same pressure range - requiring a housing though....
