Bogging, Hesitation, no Fuel Pressure and no Boost...; w/a 10 cent cure----->
Last week I started my 7 and it didn't want to Rev past 2K. It didn't produce Boost either. The fuel pressure wouldn't even go past 22psi (normal is 32-35psi at idle). The Engine would backfire and bog badly when attempting WOT.
The problem seemed pretty serious. Looked, felt and sounded like the Engine was blown.
Then I noticed the positive Battery post clamp was a little loose. I tried to tighten it but the battery connector wouldn't hold tight on the post. So I bent a Dime into a halfmoon shape and slipped it between the post and the clamp. Tightend the 10mm nut, started the Car and ALL the problems were immediately cured.
I guess the loose Battery connection caused the Injectors, fuel pressure regulator or other electrical components to function at half capacity, or not function at all??
Anyway the problems are gone and the Car is running great!
Next time y'all have any one these issues, or a combination of these issues,...inspect your Battery connection(s) Now all I have to do is replace the Battery Connector with a new one.
....Or maybe I'll just leave it as it is because it's literally a 10 cent cure for a 1000 dollar problem!
