Guys, my car is in to get painted.. and the guy who's painting my car is wondering what's the best way to attach the body kit? We planned on using rivets with special covers so it looks nice but if there is a better way of doing it I'd appreciate the input. Also, I'd just like to note that I bought the car from a guy near Napa, CA. They had put the bodykit on using sheetrock screws and bondo.

Second, I have a 20b I'm going to put into the car. I was wondering if anyone ever fabbed their own subframe? I have all the tools and skills to put it together. I just need a print or something to compare it to. Would love to hear from anyone who fabbed their own..

The bodykit question belongs in the interior/exterior/audio section, and the 20B subframe question belongs in the 20B section And the answer to your questions in short are, you can use strong double-sided tape made for this sort of thing to hold parts like sideskirts on, or if you're paranoid you can use some screws in inconspicuous areas, and even paint them if necessary so they don't stand out. Or of course, you can mold the bodywork into the sheet metal surrounding it, but that's quite expensive, and you'd want a shop who knows what they're doing...

FYI, my rear bumper doesn't have a single screw or spec of bondo on it. It's all double sided tape, and strong adhesive along the seams. The skirts have double-sided tape, but the very ends of them in front of the rear wheels do have screws, but that's out of necessity, so they lay completely 100% flat against the body.
