BNR twins
I think you may need to rephrase that a bit better . are your BNR's leaking oil and smoking? do you know its hte turbos and not hte motor? how long have you had them . I'm sure you can send them back and have them rebuild them .
Currently running dexilia 5w-30 oil, and that should be fine considering that the BNR twins dont do synthetic oils
OP is in Norway so turn around time is a little different for him..
What's the mileage on the turbos? Do you still have the OMP? Controversial but have you considered running a thicker oil?

The BNRs probably have about 5-6000km on them. I have a oil catch can connencted to the oil filler neck and that is vented to atmospheric pressure (e.i not connected to the primary turbo hose as OEM)
in addition i know that the oil is full of fuel since it has run to tick for a while. I thought about changing to a full mineral oil that is 10-40 or 20-50. The OMP is in place.
I am pretty sure that the turbos are blowing oil by the seal, thats the only explanation for oil in the ic when the org PCV system is not there. it is not smoking that bad so i dont think it is a blown seal in the engine (and also that i dynoend the car yesterday and it worked fine in the dyno, 333rwhp, 380rwtq at 15psi)

Some versions of these turbos are known for slight sealing issues, but generally it's not a big problem. Supposedly the newer versions have fixed this issue. Not sure whether you have the new version.
Either way, BNR is generally responsive and cool to deal with.

I just fitted a set of these to a mates car here in Australia, less than 2 months ago. They suffer the same issue. From what I've read it's semi normal, not that it makes it acceptable. He has done one track day on them now and no issues driving wise.
BNR Bruce is on Vacation but is answering E-Mails.
i think thats correct. the dexila oil i´v been using is part synthetic, so i hope dino oil might cure it.. only reason i used the dexila oil was that mazda recommended it, strange because the org turbos also have the carbon seal that bnr uses...
Got a reply from bnr. Probably old news, but in fairness towards bnr ( and the fact that I wrote that I was going to mail them) heres the answer.. Oilfeed problem was on turbos pre 2004.... No smoking after changing oil to dino 15w-30. Still oil in ic piping but less., and there is always going to be some in there anyway.
