BNR twin turbos, sequential

Anyone know where I can get new or rebuilt BNR twin turbos? How much? Also, is it possible to keep them in sequential mode like the stock ones? Someone mentioned they got the BNR's from someone here in the forum, but was hoping there was a fixed place (website, etc.) that I can get them from... he said they were about $1000.

The last I heard was that BNR's where not for sale at this moment. He was working on a new version of his turbos which apparently use some different parts (I believe parts that are more available) than what he was using before.

The RX-7 Store, and probably Gotham Racing as well, will sell them when they are available.

He's making me a set of the new stage 3's non-seq.
Just give him a call and see what he can do for you.

So am I better off replacing my stock ones with rebuilt sequential twins or new sequential twins? I guess I don't really need BNR's. I was just impressed with the price. Anyone know where to get replacement twins for my 1993? I haven't modded the ECU yet, so I just wanted replacement turbos for the stock ones... thanks!

Bryan doesnt rebuild stockers anymore.....too many problems with them. your best bet is to source a set of the 99 efini twins, as they are close to the stockers and can be run with stock boost, fuel and ecu at 10 psi, and you will be getting brand new twins.

You know, I've always wondered if anyone with those BNR's has kept them sequential...I'm curious to know what kind of power difference it would have at lower RPM's compared to the stockers or 99's that are sequential. Anyone??

Drop Bryan at BNR an e-mail and get the definitive status on his turbos. I have a set of the new uprated ones fitted to my car run non-sequentially, unfortunately before we got a chance to map them at high boost my engine went pop so can't provide a write-up on them yet They do look nice and should flow considerably better than the stock ones. We were still setting the car up, but it looked like around 4.5k for full boost.

TBH running BNR's sequentially would have to be a waste of time - running the stock twins at high boost traction was at best dubious, running even more power in a solid hit at low rpm just doesn't make sense to me. While they do take a lot longer to reach full boost non-sequental they do so in a more progressive manner so you can actually use the power in low gears rather than spinning it away.

Hmmmm, Rich, mine have never been right and we have conversed many times about it since I received them and put them on and nothing has been compensated. All I was asked were 500 questions. Now this is admitted in public in front of my eyes??

kwikrx7 originally got his BNR's non-seq. After disliking it, he had them changed back to sequential.

Hi Bob,

I was referring to straight up stock rebuilds. If memory serves you have his stage 2s. I was under the impression that you and Bryan were talking directly about your problems. I will have him call ya directly in an effort to get this resolved as quickly as possible
