Bnr Stage 3 Vs. 99 Jspec
Given the option of BNR Stage 3 or the 99 jspec turbos, what would be your choice? What is the difference between the 2? iI believe that they are comparable on price?
I want to know the good and bad between the two. I've heard a few negative comments about the BNr's ** smoking** , but I read on the forum that thet were improved!
Nothing but praise about the the 99's.
Any advice where I can find a set of new 99's?
Any advice on the turbos would be appreciated
thanks

www.rx7store.net sells the 99spec
www.gothamracing.com sells the BNRs.
did you do a search!?
from what i have read on the forum the BNRs are better than the 99spec. Essentially, the BNRs have larger internals. As far as the smoking, they are suppose to have taken care of it. This is all info i found when i did a search.

It's very simple...
BNR if: Your turbos are bad but your turbo assembly manifold is good (only small cracks).
'99 JDM if: Your turbo assembly manifold is beyond repair or bad cracks "and" bad turbos.

If you the price almost the same, then I perfer 99+ twins coz the BNR is upgrading turbo and you may say its a rebuild turbo with upgarde.
Otherwise, let's go single turbo kits

BNR's hands down. More power you get more power out of the BNR's. 99 JDM are good for like 300 hp (Factory rated at 280). BNR's r for like 350 hp. I think those numbers r right. I don't know, they could be for more.

99 = faster spooling brand new twins
BNR = questionable upgrade
I know that a few guys that I respect a lot (Stephen and Rich - SpoAutos and Goodfellas) run the BNRs with great sucess. However, I have personally seen 5-6 sets of BNRs and EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM was bad -- either blowing oil smoke, not boosting right, or PUKING oil. And it had nothing to do with the oil restrictor pills either. The manifolds on two of the sets I saw still had LARGE cracks in them.
