Bnr Stage 3 Twins

I have read up on quite a few previous posts on these turbo s also on the Gotham racing website, but do you think they are that much better than the stock twins?
Do you think they are worth it?
I take it these should be good for about 350-400 bhp??

I want to be hitting about high 11s or 12s on the ¼ I have read that this is possible with the stock twins with the right mods.

Not sure if I should go ahead with these……….

any advice would be great

Thanks

There was a post not too long ago that the BNR Stage 3's as they were known will no longer be available (due to parts availability and quality).

BNR will be producing only two types of turbos. One of them will be an upgraded version of the stock twins. The lower one I'm not sure if it's a stock rebuild or a lower upgrade of the stock twins.

So, yes you can do 350-400 with the BNR Stage 1, 2 or 3's as well as the stock turbo's (as well as high 11's or low 12's in the quarter).

Quarter miles times are more about the driver and traction than the car. You can make a car that capable of a 10 second pass, but that doesn't mean anyone who sits in the car will make a 10 second pass.

If you really want upgraded "twins", look at the M2 turbos. Those are probably best "proven" twin turbo upgrade around.

IMO, get more track time, better tires and see how low you can get your time before upgrading. More seat time will yield better numbers than just upgrading.

no way you think im crazy ?

fuel system will defiantly be upgraded. my car is near enough stock at the mo.

im just researching into what upgrade parts will be best for me.

i will go for larger Secondary like 1300cc ,with like a higher flowing fuel pump + Fuel Pressure Regulator, power FC, and apexi FMIC.

dont worry dude !!

Forum member Srcub (aka Dan) had them on his car for about 6000 miles. first with a non ported motor, then with a race ported motor... the Stage 3's were running parallel, and spooled quick and had a nice feel through the entire rpm range... i enjoyed riding in his car even though he rarely had traction, lol... some members said that their Stage 3's smoked and were not that great of quality but we never had any problems like that with dan's, they have been great...

if you're interested, he's selling them because he ended up going single. The turbos are in fantastic shape and are a very good option instead of going to a smaller sized single. with his ported motor he was definitely making in the range of 400 hp on 16psi.

here is his FS thread: https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...hreadid=273237
(don't hesitate to PM him, he's open to offers)

Yeah Bryan (at BNR) is changing the way he rebuilds turbos. He is making them "better" by replacing more of the stock internals. He assures me that this will get rid of the smoking problem. I have a set of the "new" Stage 3's coming next week. But my car is mostly stock (intake/exhaust/ECU), so I'll let you guys know how they work out once I get them working later this spring.
