CA BNR Stage 3 + Pettit Unlimited ECU?

Hey guys...just doing a bit of guesstimation.

Non Seq Stage 3 BNR's with the Pettit Unlimited ECU & a mild street port.
Rest of my mods are in the sig.

Would this yield positive results? I'm currently boosting at 14psi un-dynoed. Car still runs pretty rich..aside from the fact shes going in for a rebuild at Lucky 7 (coolant seals).

Kind of trying to re-figure route to go. (T04S single vs BNR Stage 3 vs Stocker Non Seq's).

I just dont think I have the money to invest in going single THE RIGHT WAY at the moment. Best I'd be able to pull off later down the road management wise would be AEM standalone of a PFC...so in the meantime its Pettit Unlimited.

If I ran the twins (stock or bnr) I'd most likely go for AEM water & meth injection regardless however after reading posts...people have been making less power on non seq w/water&meth.

Also doing a custom V-Mount regardless of setup.

Since we're pulling my motor. I just wanted to go over options openly aside from searching & searching (which I've been doing religiously) everyones been helpful in the past.

Looking forward to responses.
Thanks Guys

personally i dont like those chipped ecus theres to many variables that cant be taken into account. i would wait because you dont wanna blow your new motor on a ecu you think "might" work with youre mods.

Pettit is a reputable company. And there is enough testamony for the ecu. I'm confident in it. I would like a power fc or aem standalone though. Just out of my budget currently

Yes, you can use the Pettit ECU with non-seq BNR turbos. There are some issues though:

With the Pettit ECU alone, you'll be stock with stock injectors and boost will be limited to ~14 PSI. At that level, you probably won't produce a whole more (if any) power than stock turbos at that PSI. The other issue is that the Pettit ECU is assuming sequential operation. There are tuning aspect that can be accounted for when using a programmable ECU and non-seq. You won't have that with the Pettit (or stock) ECU for non-seq so it will be less than ideal.

My recommendations: Since you are in CA, staying with twin turbos will be easier on you when dealing with inspections. However, depending how much you plan to mod the car, you may as well just go for a single turbo and deal with the inspection headaches. I wouldn't bother with the BNR's if you are going to stick with the Pettit ECU. I would personally just wait until you can afford a decent single turbo setup if that's what you really want.

i had this setup your describing. i ran a mazdatrix streetport w/ non seq bnr 3's and dyno'ed 318 rwhp and 262 ft/lb torque @ 14 psi. the only thing was that the high flow cat i was using was clogged and the tuner said that i could of made way more horsepower. regardless the car was very quick but it still had turbo lag and that you would be driving one gear lower than normal to stay in boost. especially cause your in california it's going to be hard to get the car in boost cause you'll already be speeding. i converted my non seq back to sequential and got them tuned to 12-10-12 and they are wayyy more fun to drive.
