Bluetooth on Spec99 OEM radio

Hi all!
So I'm writing this just because I did some research and I could not find something reasonable and easy explaining how to put Bluetooth on a 99spec OEM radio. After some other search and attempts, I found a plug and play solution if you don't have time to **** around and find out.

If this is useless, feel free to shut this down lol.

So I have a 2001 RB, with its own stock head unit (I have a soft spot for original radios), and I did not want to substitute it with an aftermarket double DIN, but adding Bluetooth functionality. As said previously, I tried to search in the forum and I could not find a clear easy plug and play solution for it, only possible suggestions for out of stock products, old clunky solutions and stuff like that. So I did a couple of tests on different external plug in unit, finding non functional ones (like the vast majority you can find on Amazon), and finally came across the one that works:

This Netherlands shop has many of them, among which the one working with the most of the Mazda radios. Since the spec99 one is mainly similar to the NB Miata ones (listed in there) I tried it, and it works perfectly.

So do you want a plug and play solution without stress? There you go. Hope this tread appears more on searches and helps out.

Jdi has a product called the ghost box. It plugs into the factory connectors and is a Bluetooth module. It can be mounted anywhere. I have one in my car and it's great.

GROM also makes a device that interfaces directly with that OEM Mazda radio and adds a Bluetooth adapter as the AUX input.

Ive used it in the past.
