Blown Turbos, what route now? Opinons!

Well, my buddies RX7 has blown it's seals, I believe. So what is the best route if other mods will be done in the future, but more like one at a time, rather than an "all at once" approach. Should he:
1) Rebuild his stock turbos
2) Buy some rebuilt or hybrid stock turbos
3) Go to a single turbo setup
4) Any other options.

His goals are not to have a drag racing machine, but rather a daily-driver rx7 with a little added performance. Does he have money to blow? Yes, but not in one big chunk. Thanks in advance for your help. His car is parked right now awaiting our decision.

Since your buddy is just a daily driver type of guy...
I would just get them rebuild..or get new ones from mazdacomp or something...why waste if he does not have the need.

Now that I re-read this, I guess I already realized everyone would say that, so I guess my question is:
What are the options regarding rebuilds and whatnot? Should we just send his off (83,xxx miles) or buy some rebuilt ones or hybrids? How much have you paid for this if you've done it?

i WOULD GO STOCK TWINS...
anything else is going to cost a packet in the long run!

A single needs loads of mods to last...
A highflow twin set needs a computer
and the only other option is N/A and my car was that for a while... Rather *****-less

Maybe look for a deal on the newer '99 spec turbos. I've seen them around for ~$1000 in near new condition and you'd get a slight hp improvement(~15hp)

How much ZoomZoom? I'm sure my friend would be interested, as there's no one qualified locally to rebuild his turbos, he'll surely buy new or rebuilt ones from somewhere else.
