Question blown sunroof fuse.

I've never had a problem with my cars electronics or anything. However, for whatever reason, my sunroof failed to shut. I opened it fine prior to leaving my house, but once I got to my destination it wouldn't budge. No electrical motor noise or anything.

I checked the fuse "sunroof" by the dead pedal and it was blown. I replaced it with another fuse, turned on the power, sunroof still wouldn't budge. I checked the fuse again and it was blown.

Obviously I have a short somewhere, but where? I'm just confused, as it was so random. Any ideas? Anybody ever experienced this happening?

I got home and had to use the factory manual tool to close the roof. I suppose I'm ok with not being able to use it for a while, but it would be nice to find out what shorted it out.

Also, not sure if it matters, but my car is completely stock.

First off you need to find out if the short is in the power supply to the sunroof switch or between the sunroof switch and the motor. to do this pull the dome light/sunroof switch down and check for continuity between a ground and the Green/Orange wire on the sunroof connector, if there is, the short is in the power supply to the motor. Or if you want to waste a fuse disconnect the switch and when you turn the IGN switch on it blows there you go.

If not, check continuity between the other 2 wires and a ground (You can use the black wire on this connector) I'm not positive where the other 2 wires go as the Electrical manual doesn't go into detail.
