Blown Engines

For all you guys who have blown your engines, because of detonation. How many miles did you have on your fuel filters, when your engine blow.

Also, has it been proved that the aftermarket apex seal, and o-rings are better than the mazda originals.

ive never blown a motor due to a clogged fuel filter. When I blew the motor I knew for sure why and it was my fault it doesnt just happen randomly on most occasions.

it has been proven that the coolant seals are better and oil seals as well. There are disputes on if the apex seals are better or not. The mazda ones are very very strong but they are 3 pieces and trash stuff when the break. Now mazda only makes them in 2 piece but nobody knows if those are strong or seal well yet. 3mm seals are in theory stronger and remember any seal that is real strong will still break and when it does everything has a good chance of getting wrecked. Also they take a long time to break in since the metal is so hard.
