Blowing Smoke - Need Turbos?
Our '94 FD (stock except for Bonez DP) is blowing oil smoke on cold startup. Not just a little, a lot. Gas mileage has also dropped from around 14-15 mpg in town to about 11-12. Our car has 78 K miles of city/highway mileage, oil always changed at 3K mile intervals, driven moderately. The car has newly replaced NGK platinum plugs. Mazda Irvine says we need new turbos (the smoke problem). A place called BNR Supercars offers to rebuild our stock turbos for $850. Does anyone have experience with, or advice about, rebuilt stock FD turbos? Or about BNR Supercars?
Thanks!
