Blow off valve question

Hey guys I am about to orer the HKS SSBOV kit for my third gen. I heard somewhere that adding an aftermarket blow off valve that blows off into the atmosphere instead of back into the intake will screw up the air metering system causing the car to run rich and stall when bov blows off air is that true? thanks for the help

That is only true for vehicles with mass air flow sensors. The FD uses a manifold absolute pressure sensor. You will be fine.

Something that I recently noticed about the hks bov and the efini y pipe: When you have the efini y pipe and try to install the hks bov, you will need to remove one of the AC lines and bend another unless you don't have AC. The hks bov kit comes with two mounting brackets and two different length hoses. You will need to use the straighter hose and the more bent bracket of the two. I think that the problem could be because the bov was originally intended for japanese right hand drive applications and the AC lines could be switched on the japanese models. I'm not sure, but if anyone can fabricate a new bracket or has found any other solution to this problem please let me know.
