Blow-off valve in correct posistion?

Just wondering is the blow off valve in the best posistion This is how it came from Japan, but have been told this is wrong

either side of the IC is fine...there are plenty debates on which is better...fawk and some people say you don't need on at all.

that's why the stock BOV (with all Mazda's R&D money) is as far away from the TB as possible.

I mean, how else can Greedy make more money off their nice polished elbow???? OH I KNOW!! put a BOV flange on it and make them buy one of those too? How to market that???? OH I KNOW!! "the closer to the throttle body the better"...

If you think about it, youd think the closer to the turbo the better, because its there to protect the turbo. When its close like that, one would believe thered be less of a chance of the intake air going back into the turbo.

Thats what I was thinking too. Im no BOV expert though...

crono makes sense, I am running 26lbs of boost on my DSM back in new york and the BOV is def not anywere near the throttle body and I never had a problem ever, its also pointed at the ground if thats any conselation for you, dubulup has a good point about it being a marketing scheme.

Don't know for sure but I thought that the pressure pulse that you are trying to eliminate would originate at the throttle plate (when it is snapped closed) so that closer to that location would be better.
