blow off valve

ok, i know some people dont like the bov or think its a waste....but i still have one and want to install it. my question is this :

where are alternate locations to install a ssqv bov?
i mean, normally they are placed like in the first picture...but that wont work with my piping. im looking for an alternate spot. my intercooler, piping, etc is setup pretty much like the second picture (same intake as well).

any ideas would be appreciated. thanks guys!

thats a tough one man. It would help if you actually posted a pic of your exact setup.

If you say your setup is "like" the one in the second picture then that means you on stock twins, correct?

If so then just get the FD3S specific HKS SSQV kit and it will come with an adapter flange, mounting piece, and BOV that will replace your stock BOV.

thank you for your reply. yeah, im still on stock twins. well my piping is exact as this guy except with a different intercooler. my intake is using piping instead of the hoses.

my bov was a gift that came with a section of pipe with the flange already mounted and all that good stuff. I cant return the gift or just not use it so i really want to install it. i might redo the piping so i can have it similar to the first pic but that will be later on...maybe a few months down the road.

what would it take to custom make an adapter to fit where the stock one is?

It can even be squeezed in with the factory airbox.

well my hoses are all bunched up with the intake i have. i can try to make or find an adapter and try to squeeze it in but i really doubt it will fit. but worth a shot i guess.

here is a pic of the car when i got it. you can see that the Blitz intake has all the hoses close together.

so this is the adapter? (2nd pic)
it looks easy enough that i can easily get something like this made and welded. i already have the flange so i would only need to make a housing to weld to the flange (maybe some thick aluminum and tig weld?) are there special requirements (pressure, temperature)? thanks.

They make a factory integration kit for that BOV... To replace the stock bov. I have one in the trunk of my DD that I'm never gonna use... Just needed the bov to replace my old one

Yeah I would be willing to sell it for just the shipping cost... Here's a photo of the contents... Sorry I can't find the charger for my digi cam so had to use the phone... 3mp looks terrible! I just need to track down some pliers to remove the bov from the flange
