Block seal treatment to prolong inevitable !!!!!
A couple of weeks ago there was a hot discussion about trying a procedure using block seal to prolong the inevitable rebuild of motor. Has any one actualy gone through this procedure and did they have any luck with it ????? I started the 1st. phase of it tonight and will see if the procedure will work for me till I can get all my ducks in a row....it seemed like it took for ever to get all the degreaser out of the cooling system. Got my fingers crossed and would like to hear from anyone else with the coolant o-ring leakage that is trying this and there luck at it temporaryly solving this problem. Sorry for the book !!!!!!

You never got an answer on this?
you posted this back in August? Whoa.
Well, I'm thinking of using the Block Seal myself. I've heard of it working on piston engines but I never tried in on a rotary. What are you talking about with the engine degreaser in the radiator? I never heard of that before. I heard K&W brand is good and same with that Copper Seal stuff by CRC in the clear bottle.
coolant o-ring leakage? Are you talking about the O-Rings on the intake?

Block seal
This was quite awile ago......The degreaser was deep purple, or something like that made by Castrol for cleaning out the cooling system of contaminates. If done to the procedue it works,....hell I'm still driving around on an engine that needs to be rebuilt. To give you an idea.......I've put on a down pipe, cold air intake, Pettit ECU and am boosting over 12psi on an 81K motor that was blowing coolant through the exaust. This doesn't mean you can negelct the coolant system. I check it everyday before I crank the car and top off the coolant at either the filler neck or the AST...never more than 3 to 4 oz. unles I don't check it and drive back and forth to work a couple times. Right now I'm working on changing to Evans coolant and no pressure. Also a KOYO radiator and lower thermostat. The last step is to change the clutch, and pressure plate check engine torque on the motor bolts and see how many miles I can put on this motor, and still have fun and kick ***.
