Blitz intake: w/ or w/o airbox shroud?

OK - I'm not exactly sure of the name of the piece I am talking about here. It is in the very front of the engine bay, is held in with two 10mm bolts, is plastic, and directs airflow into the airbox. I am going to be replacing the stock airbox with the Blitz intake, and I need to know if I should leave this piece in or not. I'd rather have it out, but I don't want to screw anything up. Let me know, please
