HAHA, funny...

Anywho...i know what im doing, so dont mistake that i am blaming this on any aspect of having the best of the best...

Just want to see if the hesitation i experinced in the 4500rpm range 15mins before the motor went boom has something to do with it as well as to prevent the motor going boom again when i rebuild it!!!

That hesitation could have been detonation.

To give yourself a fighting chance against bad gas, a bad tune, etc, I highly recommend you look into an Aquamist water injection system, I run the simple 1S system and have been very happy with it over the years......15-19 psi on pump gas

Where did you get that from and how hard is it to install?

Well the kind of questions you're asking would lead me to believe otherwise......

The questions were written in a vague manner as to try and get ideas from you...the so called experts of knowledge swort of speak as to a cause of what may have caused the motor to go...

I am not mechanically challanged or a kid with nothing but HP in mind...Every upgrade i've done was to aid in my driving and experience...so lets get off the subject of judging me and move on to possibilities of why this particular incident happened with the hesitation @ 4500rpm range, now shall we Thanks...

I got it when I was at Gotham fulltime, many years ago . Took me a while to finally install the damn thing with the help of my homeboy Chris Carlisi. Not the easiest install, depends on how good you are with wiring. The 1S system isn't all that bad b/c it's simply boost dependent....comes on at x (in my case 10) psi and sprays a fixed amount. The 2D actually meters based on fuel injector duty cycle.

Here's a thread with some good reading, there are pics on page 2.

i'm not trying to be an *** here, but you asked if 3mm seals are less prone to detonation.

No just trying to see if there is a way to have a stronger seal that in case a detonation does occur as it did in my case...to see if there is a way to reinforce the engine...

But while we are on the subject...

Can i get an opinion...

I am leaning towards the Rotary Aviation 2mm super seals and the master kit with race springs...for the rebuild...any thoughts???

I admit to being a newbie when it comes to trying to make a bulletproof motor...But i am just trying to prevent the motor from blowing up...and there are way too many threads on here which cloud my mind in the selection of what may be good for me!!!

Thanks...

Either you overboosted in the cold weather just enough to cause a lean condition or the fuel system or fuel was not up to par. Nuff said. .. I always mix a few gallons of 100 octane in when runing over 13 psi. Why take the chance. If the option of running higher quality or octane fuel is not an option then invest in Aux. injection. Sorry about your luck.
