does annybody know where to get black bushings for the rear to links and the rear trailing arms?

i have called powerflex usa but hey only have purple bushings and i dont want bushings on my car that are purple, and the black ones takes 3 months for them to get on special order.

if i order them here in norway they said 2 to 4 weeks delivery time but i leave for nurburgring in 2.5 weeks

I think energy suspension makes black bushings.

 

As far as i can see they only have the sway bar bushings

 

I have the full super pro set, which is purple..... and I've never really since them unless the car is on a lift. Had them since 2006

Btw, I love them and highly recommend them

 

I know this might seem weird but try dying it with Rit dye...I've succesfully dyed dirt bike plastic tanks and covers black. Bushings might dye easier since it's probably a more porous material than hard plastic...

You can buy the dye at a fabric store in powder form, add boiling water and some vinegar and let it completely soak for a day. Let us know if it works on bushings.

rit dye works great for R/C stuff also. i use the liquid rit and it works great

I don't remember where I found it, but you can find the equivalents for them somewhere. I'm currently using them on my front control arms. Seems to me it was chrysler style.

All of us either use the purple poly bushings from SuperPro or PowerFlex. We dont have much choice for bushings. Have you considered getting aftermarket toe links and trailing arms? That may be the fastest most time efficient way of upgrading these. It will seem like it took you two weeks to remove and press in new toe link bushings alone!

In the BMW world, black PowerFlex bushings are better/longer lasting than the purple ones and are not always readily available off the shelf. Maybe thats what he's looking for since he's in Europe.

I have the complete traction kit from rx7.com but i got so much drivetrain noise that i am taking that off.

Leave them on. You should have zero drivetrain noise from the toe links and trailing arms. It's possible you have some noise due to their diff bushings, but if that's the case your diff is probably bad...... I have the rx7.com diff bushings in my own FD and many customer's FDs with no drivetrain noise.

 

my diff has only 58000 km on it and i never do burnouts and that stuff, and i use diff oil that cost 80$ a quart.

rich do you think if i change the rx7.com diff bushing for powerflex purple wil the noise go away?

before installing the traction kit my car did not have anny drivetrain noise

 

Butt plug? I dunno looks like a black bushing to me.
