"Big List" archives?`

I found a couple sites with archives (yahoo groups, etc), but they don't include the older stuff. I'm looking for pre-'99 data.

Anyone have a link or a copy of the data on their home PC?

Dave

Ages ago I stumbled across an archive of REALLY old big list stuff, like from the early mid nineties. Was really neat reading about guys buying their brand-new '93 RX-7 .

You'll have to do some MAJOR Googling.

Steve Cirian's site is primarily composed of stuff he saved off the big list from back in the day, BTW. He got a lot of the good tech info that evolved on the list.

I fondly remember those days . I was on the Big List starting in '95 or '96.

OK, started digging myself . Shults.com did an archive a while back, here's a bunch of digests from '97 or so -

http://www.shults.com/hypermail/rx7-digest/

Here's some from '99 to '02 or so -
http://rx7.voodoobox.net/infofaq/infofaq.html

Might be more, but it would require some SERIOUS deep digging.

Excellent, thanks Dale.

I had the post 99 stuff, but the shults.com link is what I was looking for. Time to save it all locally and figure a nice way to search it.

Only because this forum has rules preventing me from showing my "caring" side...

Jim and I switched places. I used to have his job in the days of the big list, circa 1995.

even back then, the benefits of large and med size IC's ( and also med IC core and fin difference) were debated. The pro PFS camp on one side (which I swear I was never a card carrying member, just an associate member) and Kevin pretty much on his own (with a few vocal supporters) on the other. Of course, Duff kept things circulating much to his own delight.
