Big Japanese Secret? or Stupid Rumour?

i don't know if this is true or just a rumour or just someone talking smack but i heard if your apex seals are blown you can throw some fuel mixed with oil into the engine oil and it creates an explosing and regains the seal from a warn out apexi seal it is just a temporary fix apparently....does anyone know if this is true?

if the seal is "worn" and not broken....oil can create a "gap filler" to take up some of the tolerance and create a better seal...thus allowing the motor to temporarily run better....but no where near fixed.......kind of a poormans compression test......lol...

Blown apex seals are like broken bones. No hoodoo or magic cream is going to fix that problem.

If you have a less severe problem like a stuck seal, it might help.

apex seals are made of a solid material, when they blow they send sharp solid material spinning around the rotor housing at whatever rpm you blew the engine at, scoring all the chrome and aluminum faces while it's doing it. it may also damage the rotor itself.

there is no way you can fix a broken apex seal, once it's done it's done.

worn apex seals can be temporarily remedied using thick lubricants inside the affected housing but it will burn off quickly and it's not a good way to treat your car.

in second gens a lot of people use ATF directly into the spark plug hole to help unflood majorly flooded engines... gains compression when it wont start
