Best way to run Manual Boost Controller with stock sequentials?

I've done some searching, but I haven't really seen any sort of consensus as to the best way to run the stock sequential turbos with an MBC. Now that my car seems to finally be running right (damned wiring harness!) I'm in serious need of better boost control. Current mods are mild street port, intake, downpipe, catback, with Pettit ECU...I'm leaning towards getting (or making) the ball-and-spring type of controllers, but do I need one or two of these things? I know I've seen some people run two of them, and others I think just run one for the wastegate (and then keep the pill in the other line I would guess?). Also, I've seen that some people retain the stock solenoids for ECU control, and just modify the boost levels with the MBC, and others bypass the ECU control entirely. Pros and cons?

For what its worth, I'm shooting for an as-smooth-as-possible 12 psi across the board. Obviously I'll get some dip at the transition, but ideally as close to that as possible.
