Best setup to run..
Hey everyone I just recently got my FD and i was wondering if you guys could help me out. I want to put DP, MP, and apexi N1 catback.. And i also want to instal a cold air intake. Would i have to reflash my ecu or anything? I plan on getting a mbc and leaving it at 10psi with a boost guage. Is there anything i should look out for. From what i read, as long as you keep the boost at the stock 10 psi level then the air fuel should be good. but i dont know if thats the same with a full exhuast verses the dp and catback mod which was fine.

you're right to wonder. it's normally 3 mods and that's it but lately i've seen more people saying anything as long as 10 psi... i however don't understand this at all since there is no MAF...
you can always get the 3 and hold off on the midpipe.

first the n1 is way too loud with a midpipe you probably wont want it that loud so get another catback
m2 seems to have the nicest intake but you can make the best one with a lot of work yourself.
with an intake and full exhaust its unlikely that youll be able to keep the boost at 10 all the time. If you can then yeah its fine on the stock ecu but you cant trust your boost to always be 10 so its not fine in my opinion.
The best bet would be to get a pettit ecu along with your other mods and keep the boost at 10. After that get a fuel pump and intercooler and turn it to 12 psi youll be very happy with how fast the car is.

I agree with surgemonster ... pettit has good advice and service. talk to jeff he is very helpful. the n1 with the midpipe will be way to loud and the exhaust will smell bad. every cop in the area will know your name and car.. you may want to look into the anti detonation device by kd rotary call skip he will give you some info they start selling them today and the web site will be updated on the 3rd with pics . i am looking into this also.

go read the newbie stickies and the threads in the archives. it should answer most if not all of your questions as well as questions you never even thought to ask.
you are only getting part of the story in these two posts.

Hold off on the midpipe that is something to get once you have a computer and are ready to add more boost. I have the rx7.com dp, trust exhaust, greddy intake. If you do all of that stuff I would go ahead and get my radiator and ast done as well to get the reliability out of the way. But you sound like you know what your doing but just be careful with it it sucks when it goes pop.
