Best paint for ext door handles?

Need to repaint the exterior door handles due to chips & scratches.

What is the best paint to use on these and has anyone used something like a pad instead of spray painting?

Thanks for any help

I would use a regular automotive 2 stage base/clear.

I used this on mine with great results. It goes on thick and it kept the same OEM look.

I'm selling an extra used set. Pics here...

https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generation-rx-7-1993-2002-parts-99/fs-misc-stock-parts-misc-aftermarket-parts-819830/

I'll sell to you for $60 if you like. I really think buying from goodfellas is the way to go since you will get a pristine set. If you do buy my set, you can experiment on your door handles and have a backup just in case!

Bill Im curious as to the results of your suggestion. Do you have pics?
