I'm partial to Idemitsu engine oil. Having said that, did you perform a search to find the 78 billion threads on engine oils for FDs ?
Also, a competent engine builder should have a wealth of information on hand concerning the engine he is building for you

Whatever oil you choose to use, make sure you stick with it and change it often. Unless you are draining every single drop out of your oil cooler and lines, you should change more regularly than the "5000" standard.

Well I have heard that it is best to use conventional oil such as Castrol or Brad Penn for the break in period if there are new bearings and then switch to a quality synthetic such as Idemitsu or Royal Purple.
