best gas mileage?

whats the best gas mileage u have got in your fd?
stock or modified...
interstate or city driving...

on my last road trip i was amazed at the difference between driving it hard in town and keeping my foot out of it cruising at interstate speeds.

Best ever on the stock engine was about 24 mpg during a 120 mile cruise to K.C., where I ran sensibly and stayed around 75 mph and out of the boost for long periods.

Best I've gotten is 415km on a full 65 liter tank of Shell 91 Premium, just regular city driving no redlining or racing, but I think this is pretty bad.
Running rich as usual, stock motor with intake, exhaust, midpipe, maybe the 17x10 wheels have something to do with it as well.

I got just better than 26 mpg round trip, Omaha to KC area. IIRC it was in the fall...no A/C and maybe 300 miles total. Probably averaging 70 mph. That's mostly flat, with rolling hills. As I recall, pretty much neutral wind, stock twins, stock ECU (at the time) and I had a passenger for half the trip. I run about 35 psi in the tires and synthetic oil.
Never had the courage to check it around town.

Around 550-600km per tank on the highway when I drove to Florida. You know you can run 16 AFR in vacuum right ^_^
