i used to run the APEXi N1, but decided it was a little to much...now I run a slightly modified pettit CB....kinda went for the stealth look....i removed the large outside pipe cover and painted the whole thing flat black...sounds great and looks alot less "ricy".....

If you can still get a PFS, its a great deal. Its all stainless, as free-flowing as most any, excellent build quality, rolled and resonated exhaust tip, sounds decent, and its one of the lightest at only 18-19 lbs

^what he said...

I have the PFS exhaust and love it. Doesn't sound ricey at all in my opinion. (I hate rice). I have a MP and DP and it is pretty loud, but not as loud as the N1 Single that I heard or the Greddy Power Extreme(way too big of a tip I think).

The car just got a single turbo and wastegate dump pipe, now I don't think i can even try to be quiet.

Does anyone know about the HKS exhausts? I bought my RX and the previous owner already put the HKS one on (but he couldn't remember which exhaust, nor did he have any of the docs on it).

A friend of mine has the GT II RS*R Exhaust and it sounds great, it also came with a silencer for free, plus it's great when it comes to performace.

I've heard a Borla cb with dp, mp before and it was my favorite by far. Nice sound and definitely not too loud. Its stainless steel too. Don't know if all the others are.

Yep, it's a really awesome cat-back exhaust. I still have the stock pre-cat and main-cat, so it's still relatively quiet for me.

Then I added the DP and man, it's getting loud but still streetable. Next on the list is a midpipe but I think it'll be installed at the same time I buy a RB dual catback. Straight pipe all the way back would be deafening.
I thought I was the only one running a ghetto full race cat back! I had all of the original pipes removed from the precat all the way back and replaced it with 3 inch. The tail of the precat was cut and flared to accept the 3 inch as well as the front and rear of the stock main cat. The tone at idle is nice and deep. Below 2400 RPM it purrs like a kitten and has never turned a California cops head. At about 2500 RPM it starts getting loud. At 3500 RPM it turns everyone’s heads and gets louder from there. It is still quieter then the N1 with a much lower pitch, don't ask me how. This mod was only $110 with a chrome tip and collector for a down pipe to be added later. This has given me much better throttle response all the way across the RPM scale and upped my max boost level from 10 to 12. I wish all my other mods were this cheap and easy!

Steve

don't take this personally.. take it as an advice..

Get a down pipe.. do other reliable mods, such as boost gauge, upgraded radiator, ast, etc, etc.. do a search.. ton of info about what to do..

I'm sure you want to make power.. don't think that FD's are like Civics.. full exhaust usually means "BOOM!".. without other mods..

Apex Gt Rules if you don't mind the extreme sound. If not, go for the Racing Beat.
