best brakes for stock rims (2003)
I have searched and read many posts about this but they are way out dated now. Anyone care to update on brake setups that fit stock rims.
Also, I would be very interested in gettin the RZ/RS brakes but I have herd conflicting reports on if they fit with stock 16" rims. If they fit on stock rims I would get them tomorrow.

I dont know if anyone makes a good brake kit that would fit in 16 inch rims but getting brakes form another car like the RZ/Spirit R would probably be good. You could always just upgrade the pads and rotors too...

well next to him i dont know anything so forget what i said lol.. (he replied right before i did so i didnt see the post)
N-tech makes backing plates to accept hose from the spoiler openings... you have to fab the rest...
CWR used to sell CF indy-car style backing plates w/ scoops for the pressurized fender well air... originally designed by David Breslau... who i heard was revising the design for his company, widefoot racing, but i haven't heard of them being on sale yet.

thanks for the replies guys, and i figured you would chime in SleepR1, I really wanted to keep the stock rims, but i guess I will have to step up to 17 track rims, I probably will end up with the setup you have SleepR1, once i can afford it, I'm getting coilovers first, then i do the brakes up.
so i assume you really like the rs/rz brake setup, any updated comments on the braking feel....did you upgrade the MC to the 929 too?

You shouldn't need the 929 MC with the RS/RZ pachage, because the calipers are basically the same as the '93s. Same piston sizes all around, the only diff if the the fronts are wider to accomodate a wider rotor, and both have longer mount tabs to accomodate larger diameter rotors F/R.

I'll be following up with Jason again Monday for pricing, and the RZ/RS spec rotors are on their way to Precision for design- thanks to a forum member that was kind enough to lend them.
