Hey all,
I've noticed a little bearing noise when under load in 2nd and 4th gear lately. I can also barely hear it at idle with the clutch out (but not in), so I know its coming from the gearbox. I know I'm probably looking at a tranny rebuild, but its strange that I get the noise in 2nd and 4th but not in 3rd, since if anything I should get it in 1-3rd but not 4th (since 4th is 1:1 and bypasses most of the bearings). The noise is most prevalent in 2nd gear under heavy load at low rpms, 4th gear is less noticeable. Pretty much undetectable in 1st and 3rd, barely detectable at idle. Any ideas? I just recently drained and filled my oil (I use NEO) so I'm not low on oil and the oil coming out looked fine, as did the drain plug. TIA.
