Battery relo and fuse box question
Hey guys,
I just finished my battery relocation. I more or less followed what moconner did. See the first pic for the finished product in the passenger bin. I didn't leave the positive wire bare as I ran it, just in the bin. As the wire runs through the car, it's covered in corrugated plastic.
Ok, now my problem. Without the battery in the engine bay, I need to mount the little fuse box that was hanging on the positiver battery terminal. What did everyone else do for this? I was thinking that I could make a little aluminum bracket out of some scrap I had laying around. See the second and third pics. However, then I thought that there will be a lot of power running through that fuse box, and I probably don't want to make a bracket that will ground something if it shifts around a little, so the bare aluminum bracket is out. Next I thought I could coat the aluminum in plasti-dip, but then I'm concerned about still having the bolt that goes through it allow for grounding. Now I'm wondering if I could just use ABS plastic, but I'm not sure if that will hold up. Thoughts?
