Question Battery Covers????

I notice that many '94+ engine pix show a battery cover (black plastic). My '93 just has an open battery.

Was this a '94+ Eom ITEM OR something sold after market?

I like the clean look with the cover. . .

Thanks,

...because it basically attaches with just two clip-in plastic ends that invariably warp from the engine bay heat, and thus never work properly, so the cover basically floats around on top of the battery. Also, because of the amount of heat in the engine bay, airflow through the battery box is desirable, and having the cover only makes it more difficult for air flowing in through the stock duct (next to the A/C evaporation canister) to flow through and help keep battery case temps down.

Yeah pretty much everyone throws it out.

If you like it, surf around in the parts for sale - 3rd gen section and look for someone parting out a car. I bet ya can get it cheap !

I threw my FC and FD ones out.
