battery cables

Does anyone know where i can buy new battery cables? I believe mine are going bad...my battery is new and i've checked it, but i believe the cables are bad...reason i say this is that sometimes i'll try to start the car, and the power goes on just a little bit and then it goes *click* - everything dies.

but i jiggle the cables around and then voila, the car starts.

I would think you could go by like an auto parts store by you. Tell them what you need and I am sure the'll have some they can give you.

cables

The only "cable" you have is the ground. But the positive side connector could be corroded. The positive side goes directly to the main fuse panel. Theres a bolt that got loose on my fd it was corroded. I used sand paper to clean it are up then use an ant corrosion oil to protect the area..

Be sure to get cables bigger than the small stock ones . Garfinkle makes ground cables fron welding cables

could be that one of your battery terminals is a little loose? I would check that first before i do anything else.

Wankel power- Invest a few bucks in an inexpensive multi-meter or one of those battery function testers that have LEDs to measure voltage. Trying to diagnose electrical problems without something to measure voltage is really tough. Your problem could be anything from the loose cables you mentioned, to a problem with your alternator, to a problem with your starter solenoid to...... you get the picture. Without measuring electrical output, you get to replace parts until you finally get the one that is the problem. Can be expensive.
