hello all,
it apears that the base model has the 66-920a front amp.
however, the parts fiche pghoto calls it the 66-920e, which would be the same as the touring model amp....
are there any experts here on the following:
1) what amp do we have in the base models
2) what does this amp drive (i've heard/read conflicting info on wether this drives the center or not)

Don't know about the model number difference but it only drives the single center speaker. Anybody whose looked at the schematics can prove that.

 

hello all,
ok, i took the center console apart and there is a small clarion amp, model et-871 located in the rear of the center console, below the change container.
anybody know the mazda part # for this? also, is this the most likely culprit if i am getting "engine" noise from my center speaker when the car is running?
