Banzai blank off plates

http://www.banzai-racing.com/

Was wondering if someone was willing to give me quick run down of the pros and cons to blanking off some off these valves and the benefits of each.

Double Throttle

Air control valve & tube

Split line pipe

EGR

Accellerated warm up system and tube

Idle speed control

Thanks

For the others there's alot of info you can search for. I usually use the terms to search "titles only" first.

The air control valve, split air pipe and egr are all there just for emissions. If you don't car about emissions and don't have to past a test, ditch them.

AWS and tube just make the car idle at 3,000rpm upon startup. This is actually bad for the car (not as bad as boosting it cold), so ditch it.

Double throttle- ditch it for sure, make sure to get rid of the butterflies also

Idle speed control- you may want to keep it, it does just what it's name infers.

The good side to removing this stuff is mainly to free up room in the engine bay. Also, the less there is, the less that can break.

On a side note, you won't get much help asking questions like this. As Sgtblue stated, this stuff has been covered numerous times. Most members take the stance that if you are too lazy to search, they are too lazy to answer.

I don't mind helping, and didn't mean to be rude...but it's a little of the "give a man a fish" vs. "teach him to fish". When I search and read about something, I generally get all angles, rather than just one guy's opinion.

That said, be careful about the split air. That generally leads to removing the airpump which, on a stock or reflashed ECU may lead to poor idle quality and hesitation on throttle. Not to mention having to get an oversized pulley kit , compromising belt contact, risk to the stock cat, etc. etc.
Good luck to the OP.

egr is for emissions but its actually used for a lot more than that. I think people ditch it without even understanding what it does. It would be bad for it to stick open but it actually helps cool the combustion chamber and improve gas mileage somewhat.

It is only really doing something on light loads so wouldn't be used under WOT

EDIT: however after further searching I guess they are prone to failure since the passage is so small and will tend to get clogged
