Question Badge Refinish?

We have the "eternal flame" type of badge on our '93 FD.

Just wondering if anyone has refinished these in a simple manner?

The badges are showing their age and have become two toned in appearance.

Thanks for any input.

To re-chrome plastic properly is not worth the effort. Getting a new part would be easier. You can use those chrome effect paints but from my experience they never look as good.

Maybe you could paint them black for a different look?!

Thanks!

Wasn't trying to be "cheap", just trying to do it right.
