I agree w/ sikopathx. Big wings on slow cars = rice, but fast cars can actually benefit from a big wing. The only way to know for sure would be to look at the wing profile and mounting points, but from the faraway pic, there's a good chance that wing is helping keep the rear end planted at speed. The height and angle of attack are close but not ideal IMHO.

Actually, there's a good chance that the wing is doing more harm than good.
God only knows what effect that C-West nose has on the aerodynamics, and without knowing what you're doing, it's very easy to upset the balance from front to rear, especially when the front is contributing very little and you're horsing around with something that was stolen off a 747 in the rear...

IIRC there was a significant improvement in lap times - on the order of maybe 2 seconds. Plus almost every FD I see in competition photos from Japan is running the C-West kit.

Bottom line, you'd have to be an absolute fool to take a car with a C-West kit (or any body kit, for that matter) over ~140 mph without knowing what effects it had on aerodynamics at high speed.

And the same can be said for stock bodied FD's. Mazda didn't do any windtunnel testing that i know of.( someone provide it if it is available please) And the one video i did see it went for a nice flight.( Partially due to aero)
And there are plenty of you out there that say you've gone over 160. Where is your data saying that is ( and i use the word lightly) "safe" to be doing?Aero wise.
Oh yeah that shopping cart needs to come off the back for sure. And at least make the whole car flat black to match! Geez! They must have blown their load on the enginebay.
