Backup lights not working
Hey folks, my backup lights don't come on when I am in reverse. I've checked the fuses and they look good. I've checked the bulbs and they are good. When I hook up a volt meter to the light connector and put the car in reverse, there is no current going there..
Manaul tranny's have a switch or something to indicate reverse, right? I opened up the center console and the gear shift cover, but couldn't see anything worthwhile there..is it possible to look for something that isn't right from beneath the car??
Also, while I had the center console off, I saw that I had a blue connector not connected to anything..all possible connections (fog lights, defroster, security alarm, ...) had connectors in them..what this is extra one hanging around??

back up lights
i heard it was due to the wiring harness or something like that, mine too unfortunately don't work, but oh well, it's not much of a nuisance.

Go UNDER the car. Take off the tranny cover and there are a couple connectors. Most likely one of them just became disconnected. Snap it back in and you're good to go. Took me a year before I finally fixed mine

When I had my tranny rebuilt I put one of the tranny switches in wrong. I think there is a R, a 1/2, and a Neutral switch. I had two of them swapped so the R lights were on when I drove and off when I was in Reverse. The connector might be loose or the switch itself might be bad.
