Arrow back-up light switch

[URL=http://img202.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img202&image=img003698qk.jpg][IMG]http://img202.exs.cx/img202

After some usefull searching to find out why my reverse lights don't work. i have come to find my back-up light switch is fu****, my question is when i replace it with a new one from mazda($40 ) is this the right connector for it? This is the only connector on the tranny that isn't being used so i asuume it is the correct one. This switch has been like this sence i bought the car so that is why i'm not certain where is connects.

Thanx in advance,

That seems right (there are 3-4 plugs right next to it).

Mine is unpluged until I get one also. Mine would stay on all the time

Am I correct in saying that the first pic (the apparent botched one) is the tranny side of the reverse switch? If so, that saves my *** from some hate and discontent.

when you get the switch from mazda you'll know what goes where! Its pretty simple, i did it on my FC(how much of a difference could there be?)...

sesshoumaru. that is realy strange. maybe your switch is just stuck and needs a little lube and some elbow greece towork it loose.

Railgun. yes the first pic is of the driver's side of the tranny looking up at the broken revers switch.

2fast. yea i've also heard each connector is different so there is no way to mix them up.

Thanx for the replies guys.
