Back in the game! My new 94 Base!
Its been a year since I sold my beloved rotary machines, a Blue 93 FD Touring and white s5 T4 turbo FC. But I'm finally back in the game and it feels good. Picked this up from a kid in Santa Cruz. Any history on it would be good. Good news please! Hopefully, not too much bad news. Carfax report shows 2nd owner had it for 12 years and had a lot of service records and even the recalls done. Engine runs good, AC works, black leather interior, decent price, so I had to get it.
(Specs)
94 Base Model
Black on Black
88k miles
Apexi Power FC
Apexi Intakes
HKS Downpipe HeatWrapped
Koyo N-Flow Radiator
Tein SS Coilovers
Slotted Rotors
Knock off 99 Spec Front End with turn lamps
Some ugly 18" wheels
Pioneer MP3/CD Player
First thing, is get HKS Racing Suction, HKS BOV, Greddy SMIC, Bonez Catalytic Convertor, Racing Beat Catback. I'm probably going to go with the whole 99 spec conversion and respray it, before I do anything else. I'm going to get rid of the Apexi Intakes, and tein SS coilovers, because I'm going with a different setup. So if your interested in those parts then lmk. Having the stock parts for trade + cash, would be great for the time being too.

It looks like you definitely picked an FD that is at a good starting point. Low mileage, few mods, etc.
With just that first picture you posted, I want to say "BURNOUT WIDEBODY FENDERS GOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!"
:P
I'm jealous, man. It looks great! Looking forward to seeing some build threads.

Thanks! Yea, the burnout kit is pretty clean too. But I'm going to go with the 99spec look. And yea, I picked this car, because its a FD with a good starting point.

I want my front end to look like Supernaut's FD! 99 spec all around is clean to me. And thanks for the welcome back. It feels good to be back and boostin again. Was about to get a CX-7 AWD for my chick and turbo my miata if I didn't find this one. Jus that rotary sound I missed so much. I even miss the oil burning gas from the tailpipe!
Also, you should be able to get a greddy or similar SMIC for dirt cheap FYI.

Nice car, congratulations.
Its your car go for the look that you want, not the look that no one is going to complain about.
Ever stop and think why the stockish or 99 spec is liked the most around these parts? Well thats easy to answer: It's the look that brought most of us all here in the first place. So given that we have that in comon it makes sense that it gets the most consistent thumbs up. Once you steer away from the stock look opinions start varying quite a bit.

Yup, back in black. perfectly said! white Mazda Rx-8 also.
Yea, I know. People are going to have different tastes. The 99spec look is what got me to not like but love the FD. I was a FC guy until the 99 look. Still love the FCs and all rotary vehicles btw. 99spec will be done over the summer in time for Sevenstock XIV.
