Back firing

Hi everyone,

Last week I finished installed my new exhasut system and air intakes and I am getting alot of backfiring now.

My engine is street ported with 3mm apexi seals and 2 extyra dowels. I installed apexi twin air filter pods and 3" downpipe highflow cat and rb dual tip exhaust.

I haven't changed the ECU yet but plan on installing a power fc next month.

Is it normal for the car to backfire so much with these mods?

(backfires when driving hard or if i drive slow and then change back a gear, also backfires alot when I rev her up in 2nd and then change into 3rd but don't give it any gas(goes POP! POP! POP! POP! quite loud). Also backfires if I am driving along and put the clutch in coster for 10secs and then let the clutch back out)

Thanks in advance guys.

Backfires are normal with a full exhaust. Make sure you're not overboosting with those mods.

I think there is a relearn process for a stock ecu too. Was your Idle right before?
are you familiar with Jpandes write up on the TPS?

Thanks for all your help.
I am driving around and keeping it under 4000rpm to avoid boost creep. I Will be ordering my PFC next week and I'll let you know how it goes.

Thanks again.
