Seibon -vs- VIS Racing (carbon fiber)?
I'm actually interested in the carbon hatch but there may be more people with the hoods that may want to chime in.
It may be cheaper for me to replace my OEM hatch with a carbon fiber one rather then have the holes welded/filled in and having it painted. I installed my 99 wing but the R2 holes did not line up, so I have a bunch of holes that need filling. I got some extremely comical quotes from some schiester body shops. So I am debating replacing it with a carbon hatch but I will retain the glass and add the wing.
Any fitment problems, if so what brand?
Any quality problems (clear coat fade, cracking, etc), if so what brand?
Any problems retaining the OEM glass (was told it wouldnt hold with silicone)?
Any problems installing rear wiper, wiper motor, sprayer and plastics?
From my searches, I found one person with fitment problems from the group buy hatch but no one else posted on fitement afterwards. One person had a problem with VIS but about three other people said it was excellent. Have not found anything on Seibon.
