Back in an FD - Need Opinions -Thanks

Guys
I have owned two FD's in the past, but it has been about 5 years since I sold my last one. I have helped a buddy rebuild a couple over the past three years, but that's about it.

I am buying another FD tomorrow, 1993, 63kmiles on it, lots of work done to it already. I am just looking for some opinions to get back up to speed with maintaining these cars.

For example:
1. what type of oil has been the most recommended?
2. how much of the 2 cycle oil should be added to the fuel at each fill up?
3. what coolant has been the most effective?
4. what tires have been the most effective/cost effective on the road course?
5. what is the safe range of temperatures that I should be seeing?

Feel free to add anything else, questions or comments that may be useful.

Thanks,

Jason

1. what type of oil has been the most recommended? I use 20w50 there are debates about this but i'm not getting into that
2. how much of the 2 cycle oil should be added to the fuel at each fill up? I don't use any some do again there are debates about this.
3. what coolant has been the most effective? I use standard green brand doesn't matter to me and distilled water i run about 165*F-170*F on the freeway and 180* around town.
4. what tires have been the most effective/cost effective on the road course?
5. what is the safe range of temperatures that I should be seeing? At about 190*F i turn my fans on if i'm in traffic and let it drop back to 170ish then cut them off.

Check stickys most all of this is listed in there.

Might be a little early for 20w-50 in Colorado. I'm not going to recommend a brand or type. You really should just stroll through the stickys at the top of this section for most of the other info.
