FL AWS stopped working?

I know that I have multiple threads about backfiring and stalling -- still an issue.

But, I've noticed that the AWS isn't working anymore. We live in Florida, but even with the temps, we have ALWAYS had the AWS 3,000 rpm startup. Now, it isn't doing anything.

So maybe, combining the issues together, someone might have an idea:
1. no aws at startup???
2. Car will backfire at any slowdown, and loudly and multiply.
3. Car stalls at stop light IF you don't keep it revved up.

Extra? If I dosconnect the idle control connector, the backfiring seems to go away, of course the idle becomes an even bigger issue.

Thanks to any Gurus who might have some insight.

I too live in Florida. I disconnected my AWS a few years ago. Frankly, I am happy I disconnected it because it eliminated the high idle at start up that I always throttle kicked down. AWS does not work when the car is warmed up so it should not cause your car to stall at stop lights. Call Kilo Racing in Kissimmee or Pettit Racing in West Palm Beach for suggestions on the stalling/backfiring. My car, just like many other RX owners, back fires on deceleration. It's part of the charm owning an RX.
