AWS question

if a guy were to block it off, there is going to be the harness plug just sitting there for the AWS solenoid...if you were to plug IN the AWS solenoid and just let it dangle (obviously unattached from the manifold cuz you just blocked it off) would the system still rev the car to 3 or 4K on startup?

Just thought about this...I had my AWS plugged in but was just dangling because I thought it would cause a CE light if it weren't seeing a signal at the connector. Now that I think about it, the AWS soars the idle to about 3k when it is installed under the manifold....so, if it is dangling and plugged in, and not attached to the manifold to control the amount of air it sees, it will probably really go out of whack which would explain why it was hitting 4k....
