Hello. I'm building my 93 RX7 as we speak and I'm considering a AutoPower 4pt (with horizonal bar) rollbar with some nice seats and a 4pt sparco harness. The harness, I'd like to attach to the rollbar. Does anyone know if it'll be strong enough?

I know that the rollbar isn't going to provide a great deal more safety and a rollcage should be used but I do not intend this to be a full out race car. I just want a little more safety for the car, a place to mount the harnesses to, and a little more stiffening to the chassis.

Also, anyone have pics of an Autopower Rollbar 4pt installed in an FD? I've searched the forum and never found a decent pic.

I have the Autopower chromolly race lbar with a 5pt harness, the lap belts I attached to the existing seat belt bolts, and the shoulder straps loop over the autopower rear bar.
It's plenty strong.

 

Sweet. Did you lose a lot of seat travel from the bar? And do you have any pics? Pics are what I need most right now so I can see how it fits with the storage bins and where it mounts.

Most of the guys here who have bars, use the kirk racing one. Maxcooper has the M2 one, never remember seeing the autopower on anyones car.
