Automatic vs. Manual

Is Automatic worth the lower $$$ vs. Manual? After doing a transmission swap? Just curious of everyone's opinion...

It is worth as much as someone wants to pay. I just sold my almost stock auto FD for a lot more than most mostly stock manual FD's are sold on here.

If you want a manual, then wait for a manual. A conversion will cost between 3k and 5k to have a shop convert it. If you can do the work yourself, then you're my hero.

My god there are a lot of Auto/Manual threads lately. I used to have an Auto, it will be fun until you ride in a 5spd car. Then you won't be able to wait until you can have a 5spd of your own. I would say hold out/pay the extra money for a 5spd unless you do a LOT, (and I mean ALOT!!!) of driving in traffic. If I had to daily drive my FD in Miami traffic I would amputate my left leg and kill myself.

Ps. When did you move to Orlando Jonski?

yea .... I agree with others as well... just wait for the manual... I used to have a civic auto but man... when I tried the manual it was really cool and I almost did a swap but it seemed usless to spend so much money and hastle to swap when you can just wait and spend that money to get the same car in better condition with a manual~~~ yahoo~~~

I agree too wait for a manual if you want one.

For me I definitevely prefer a manual such a fun to drive even in traffic here I have no problems. With auto I do not feel part of the car.
