i was in a 93 auto with supposedly 4.3 gears. at 80mph the rpms were at 3200. this doesnt seem right. i was thinking this was 3.9 stats. i was wondering what a stock auto 3rd's rpms are at at 80mph

any clues would be appreciated

Assuming stock tires. 3.9 re 3k rpms = 82mph, 4.3 re 3k rpms=75mph.

80 would be a little under 3000 rpm......

I get right around 28 mph/1000 rpm.
