F1 racers also have a lot of toe out and negative camber on their alignments; so any steering input give almost instantaneous response. You're probably more comfortable with the throw-and-catch method, but if you find yourself in an empty parking lot, try the crossover out. It's a lot faster than you think. Add in some heavy toe out on the fronts and the rears and see how fast that rear end whips around.
